The following programs are included in this:
YLD is the nexus of Toledo’s vibrant community of Jews in their 20s, 30s and early 40s. YLD offers an exclusive way to get involved and get connected, including: events; meaningful volunteer service opportunities; stimulating educational programs and fulfilling leadership positions.
The Department of Jewish Programs will be collaborating in extending and growing our offerings for “JAM” – Jewish Adults in the Middle.
The Young Men’s Network and The Girlfriend Connection are non-fundraising outreach program for young men and women in the community between the ages of 25 – 45ish! Programs range from card nights, dinners together and educational growth.
The PJ Library supported by the Gary and Andrea Delman Family Foundation is a wonderful free program that will nourish a Jewish life from the start. The PJ Library seeks to engage Jewish families with young children. Each participating child will receive a high quality Jewish children’s book or CD every month, though age 7.
Funded by Sylvia Thal. Toledo Link to College (TLC) provides care packages to college students who are away at school. The sisterhoods from the 3 congregations have committee members that help run this program. Packages go out approximately 3 times a year. Contact the Department of Jewish Programs for more information.
Children and adults considering educational programs should contact local congregations for synagogue sponsored opportunities.
TBJE provides one of the most successful adult English as a Second Language programs in NW Ohio. Originally established to meet the needs of Jewish immigrants from the former Soviet Union, the program now serves a diverse population of newcomers to the Toledo area. It is a heartwarming program and a wonderful way to introduce the care and concern of the Jewish community to those who have never had contact with Jews or a Jewish community in their home countries.

UT Hillel is a student organization for all Jewish students who attend the University of Toledo, as well as students at surrounding Colleges/Universities (Owens Community College, Lourdes College, others in Northwest Ohio). The organization’s purpose is to provide social and educational opportunities of a Jewish nature to students.

Are you a young adult in your 20’s or 30’s? Then check out Toledo’s Young Adult Division. Grads, professionals, couples, singles, and families can get together to make new friends, reconnect with old friends, network with other professionals, and become involved in everything that the Toledo Jewish Community has to offer. Anyone interested in attending these events or helping with planning should contact the Department of Jewish Programs.

A forum for seniors and their families. Sunday, May 31 Temple Shomer Emunim, 6453 Sylvania Avenue 10:30 a.m to 3:30 p.m. $8 per person, which includes a delightful lunch and items to assist you in dealing with the challenges of aging.
